Looking at and artificial world through synthetic eyes, eyes that aren't our own
We are all lost in a world embedded in code, where deception is sewn.
All they see are numbers to them there is no past and no future
ones and zeros incarcerate us forever in a world where there is no tomorrow
Those who corrupt must be dethroned
if we're to live this life we call our own
We must rise against them all
break down the digital wall
that separates us from our future and show the world
We were born, eyes closed
and it's time to see the world for what it is
We were born, eyes closed
and it's time to see the truth for what it is
Remove your blindfold and see the world for what it is
remove your blindfold and see yourself
Born in a world where it's naught to be human, astray for too long
We are so lost.
We let the falsehearted direct our lives, we are living blind.
Because we were born, eyes closed
and it's time to see the truth for what it is
It's haunting. It's chaos. It's energy. It's fatigue. It's happiness. It's sadness. It's love. It's hate. This is close to the perfect black metal album for me. Marcello Velasco
The album title is appropriate: this album makes you feel like a cosmic explorer as you approach the edges of our universe. Contemplating taking a leap into a potentially dangerous new universe, you admire the celestial sights but also go through significant introspection to determine whether such an adventure will be worth it. Masterclass ambient progressive metal for the sci-fi/space nerds out there! Challenging Apathy
This is my favorite metal album of all time. The only bad thing is that the vocals are somewhat buried in the mix. Otherwise, the record perfectly blends a mix of metal genres with excellent songcraft. A record you'll listen to again and again. The Real Nick House
Hearing the songs while reading the narrative behind the lyrics, I felt overwhelmed by this tragic story in which humans and artificial intelligence couldn't coexist side by side. Their reciprocal annihilation was inevitable. Except one "sole survivor, in a ship filled with memories. She had become the proof of Earth, proof that life had existed there, a voice for all the species and beauty we once knew". A dystopian concept dressed up in brilliant musicianship! @Slevin, thanks, I owe it to you! Umbra Cornuta
